S: Nací en Guinea Bissau hace 26 años.

S: Llegué cuando tenía solo 6 años. Mis padres decidieron venir para mejorar sus vidas, para cambiar su vida laboral y social en general. 

-¿A que te dedicas?.

S: Estoy estudiando para formarme como Higienista Bucodental, mi meta es ser odontóloga y tener mi propia clínica, aunque no creo que mi futuro esté en Málaga. Tengo a mi pareja viviendo en el Reino Unido y me gustaría irme allí.

-Dime, ¿Que consideras importante en tu vida?.

S: Por mi experiencia personal, lo más importante es seguir mi camino sin mirar atrás. Es importante ser positivo y no debemos rendirnos nunca.

S: From my personal experience, the most important thing is to follow my path without looking back. It is important to be positive and we must never give up.

C: Nací en Santander hace 27 años.

-¿A que te dedicas?.

C: Soy diseñadora gráfica, aunque estudié Publicidad en Madrid. El motivo del cambio fue muy simple, empecé a trabajar en publicidad, pero no me gustó. Ese fue el momento en el que dedica marcharme al Reino Unido para hacer un curso de especialización en diseño gráfico.

-Por lo que he entendido, eres de Santander, estudiantes en Madrid y en el Reino Unido, además me has contado, que has vivido en otros países europeos. ¿Que te ha traído hasta la Costa del Sol? ¿Cuando has venido a Málaga?.  

C: Llegué a Marbella por razones sentimentales que en este momento ya no existen. Actualmente llevo trabajando un mes en Málaga como diseñadora gráfica.

-Celia, cuéntame ¿Tienes metas? ¿Cuales son tus sueños?.

C: Mi meta y mi sueño van cogidos de la mano. Quiero encontrar un lugar para establecerme y ser feliz. Málaga podría ser ese lugar. 

-¿Que consideras importante en tu vida?.

C: El trabajo siempre ha sido una prioridad, pero para mi es importante echar raíces y como no, el Sol.

C: My goal and my dream go hand in hand. I want to find a place to settle down and be happy. Malaga could be this place.

N: Vine a Málaga para estudiar Administración y Gestión de empresas en la UMA.

-¿Crees que hay una gran diferencia entre el sistema educativo español y el de Marruecos?.

N: No hay diferencias notables, hay colegios españoles en mi País con un gran nivel. El motivo por el que vine a estudiar a Málaga, no fue por las diferencias del sistema educativo de mi País y el de España, vime porque mi hermana vive aquí.

-¿Cual es tu sueño?.

N: Se que no tiene nada que ver con lo que estoy estudiando en la actualidad, pero mi sueño es estudiar criminología.

-¿Dime dos cosas que consideres importantes en tu vida?.

N: Mi familia y mi religión musulmana. La gente debería perder sus prejuicios e informarse mejor. Los terroristas no son musulmanes, si lo fuesen, no sembrarían el terror.

N: El miedo no tiene porque ser una debilidad, de hecho todo el mundo lo tiene, y el mío es a perder un ser querido.

N: I know it has nothing to do with what I'm studying now, but my dream is to study criminology.

-Tienes una estética muy singular teniendo en cuenta que vives en una sociedad muy conservadora y tradicional como es la andaluza, y sin ir más lejos la de Málaga.

-Howl, dime ¿Pertenece tu estética a algún tipo de movimiento socio-cultural? ¿Tiene algún vínculo especial con la música? ¿Que motivó el hecho de que acogieras esta estética como parte de tu propia personalidad?.

H: Mi estética está denominada 'Visual Kei'. Se caracteriza por su uso de variados niveles de maquillaje, peinados elaborados y ropa muy particular. Significa estilo visual, y nació en un entorno social donde la estructura costumbrista y tradicional, era muy fuerte y arraigada, me refiero a la sociedad japonesa. Se trata de un mestizaje entre estilos musicales como el 'Punk' y el 'Metal'. Nació en Japón en un entorno joven y adolescente, con la pretensión de romper esa estructura social tan hermética. Un día, viendo algunos videos en YouTube, me encontré con esta tendencia y rápidamente me atrajo, me sentí profundamente influenciado y me pregunté ¿Por que no hay en Málaga nada así?.

-Howl, ¿entiendo entonces que eres pionero con respecto a esta tendencia en Málaga?

H: Particularmente, no me importa que se extienda, pero si me gustaría que lo hiciera de una manera moderada.

-¿Tienes frases, palabras o alguna reflexión personal que quieras compartir?

-You have a very unique aesthetic considering that you live in a very conservative and traditional society such as the Andalusian, without going any further the Malaga society.

-Howl, Tell me. Does it belong your aesthetic to some kind of socio-cultural movement? Do you have any special link with music? What motivated that received this aesthetic as part of your own personality ?.

H: My aesthetic is called 'Visual Kei'. It is characterized by its use of varying levels of makeup, elaborate hairstyles and clothes very particular. It means visual style, and was born in a social environment where the customs and traditional structure was very strong and rooted, I mean Japanese society. It´s a mix between musical styles such as 'Punk' and 'Metal'. It born in Japan in a young adolescent environment, with the aim of breaking the social structure so tight. One day, watching some videos on YouTube, I found this trend and quickly attracted me, I was deeply influenced and wondered, Why no in Malaga anything like that ?.

P: Soy de Venezuela y nací en Caracas hace 20 años. 

-¿Cuando llegaste a España? ¿Que motivó ese gran cambio?.

P: Llegué a Madrid en octubre de 2015. El cambio lo motivó principalmente la situación social de mi País. 

- ¿Desde cuando conoces Málaga?

P: Estoy aquí para pasar unos días de vacaciones con mi novio, hemos venido ha visitar unos amigos. 

-¿Conoces la situación política que reina actualmente en España? ¿Que opinas del partido político liderado por Pablo Iglesias?.

P: Si, conozco la situación política actual. Sinceramente, me parece haber retrocedido en el tiempo, como si yo volviera a las elecciones presidenciales de 1998 en mi País. Ese año fue el de la reelección de Hugo Chavez. Tengo la sensación de estar escuchando de nuevo a Hugo Chávez a través de las palabras de Pablo Iglesias. No es una situación que quisiera vivir de nuevo. Podemos no es la solución que la gente está esperando.

-¿Te has planteado metas, ahora que has iniciado una nueva etapa de tu vida en Madrid? ¿Cuales son tus sueños?.

P: Mi meta es terminar de formarme como azafata de vuelo, principalmente porque me encanta viajar, conocer nuevos lugares y personas, enriquecerme con nuevas experiencias. Mi sueño es mejorar mi País, hay tanto por hacer, que no sabría por donde empezar.

P: I´m from Venezuela and I was born in Caracas 20 years ago.

- When did you arrived to Spain? What motivated this big change ?. 

P: I arrived in Madrid in October 2015. The change was motivated primarily for the social situation of my country.

I'm here to spend a few days holiday with my boyfriend, we have came here to visit friends.

-Do you know the political situation that currently exists in Spain? What do you think of the political party led by Pablo Iglesias?

P: Yes, I know the current political situation. Honestly, it's as if I had stepped back in time, as if I went back to the 1998 presidential elections in my country. This year was the re-election of Hugo Chavez. I have the feeling of being harking back to Hugo Chavez through the words of Pablo Iglesias. It isn´t a situation that I would like to live again. We is not the solution that people are waiting.

-Have you set goals, now that you have entered a new phase of your life in Madrid? What are your dreams?.

P: My goal is to finish my training as a flight attendant, mainly because I love traveling, seeing new places and people, enriched by new experiences. My dream is to improve my country, there is so much to do, I would not know where to start.

P: Where there's a will, there's a way.

A: Nací en Málaga hace 23 años. 

-¿A que te dedicas?.

A: Bien, empecé a estudiar Auxiliar de enfermería, pero no me gustó. Este año comienzo a estudiar Turismo. Actualmente vivo con mis padres, pero me gusta tener independencia económica, así que opté por trabajar al mismo tiempo que estudio, principalmente en el sector de la hostelería.

-¿Que consideras importante en tu vida?.

A: La salud sin lugar a dudas. Principalmente por experiencias ocurridas en el seno de mi familia. Si no tienes salud, no tienes nada.

-Háblame de tus metas y tus sueños.

A: Mi meta sería conseguir un trabajo cuando acabe de estudiar Turismo. Mi sueño es ganar el Certamen de belleza de Miss Málaga. Ya me presenté en una ocasión y quiero seguir intentándolo. Debo reconocer que me gustaría ser modelo.

-What do you do? are you studying or working?

A: Well, I started studying nursing assistant, but I did not like. This year I start to study tourism. I currently live with my parents, but I like to have economic independence, so I chose to work while study, mainly in the hospitality industry.

-What do you consider important in your life?

A: Health without doubt. Mainly by experiences occurred within my family. If you don´t have good health, you have nothing.

M: Nací en Sidi Slimane (Marruecos) hace 21 años. Sidi Slimane es una pequeña ciudad situada en el centro  Noroeste de Marruecos pertenece a la región de Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.

-¿Cuales fueron los motivos por los que tu familia decidio venir a Málaga?

M: Mi padre es de Málaga y se dedicaba al comercio con telas, visitaba frecuentemente Marruecos y allí conoció a mi madre. Cuando yo tenía solo 1 año, nos vinimos definitivamente a Málaga. El principal motivo es que mi padre es de aquí y las diferencias sociales son evidentes entre los dos países. 
-¿A que te dedicas? ¿Te has planteado metas para el futuro?

M: Actualmente estoy trabajando como dependiente en una tienda de ropa, pero mi meta es aprobar unas oposiciones para los Cuerpos y Fuerzas de Seguridad del Estado.
-¿Habéis roto el vínculo con Marruecos?

M: No, ni mucho menos, allí tengo familia por parte de mi madre y la visitamos todos los veranos. 

-¿Como te definirías a ti mismo?

M: Bueno (risas), tengo dos rasgos muy marcados que forman parte de  mi personalidad, mi carácter y mi iniciativa. Por otra parte, el afecto, al igual que para todo el mundo, es algo que necesito, por eso mi familia y mi novia son muy importantes para mi. 

-Dime algo que sea una constante en tu vida.

M: I was born in Sidi Slimane (Morocco) 21 years ago.Sidi Slimane is a small city in the northwestern centre of Morocco in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra economic region.

- What were the reasons why your family decided to come to Malaga?

M: My father is from Malaga and was in trade with fabrics, frequently visited Morocco where he met my mother. When I was only 1 year old, we finally came to Malaga. The main reason is that my father is from here and social differences are evident between the two countries.

- What is your job? Have you set goals for the future?

M: I´m currently working as a clerk in a clothing store, but my goal is to pass a competition for the Forces of State Security.

- Have you broken the link with Morocco?

M: No, far from it, I have family there by my mother and visited every summer.

- How Would you define yourself?

M: Well (laughs), I have two very distinct features that are part of my personality, my character and initiative. Moreover, affection, as for everyone, is something I need, so my family and my girlfriend are very important to me.

M: I'll tell you in one sentence, 'I Never fear no evil, because you always be by my side'. This phrase tell my parents.

La pluralidad entre los jóvenes malagueños, es un hecho fruto principalmente de la inmigración y de otras circunstancias que aunque en menor medida, contribuyen también a esta. Este movimiento multicultural, ya se ve reflejado en las calles. No es menos cierto, que ne un futuro próximo, formará parte indispensable del enriquecimiento general de Málaga.

- ¿De donde eres Daisa? ¿Que edad tienes?

D: Nací en Maringá (Brasil) hace 19 años.

- ¿Que circunstancias te han traído hasta Málaga?

D: Mi padre llegó a Málaga buscando estabilidad laboral, cuando el llevaba aquí 5 años, yo vine a Málaga junto a mi madre y mi hermana mayor, eso ocurrió en 2007. Otro motivo fueron los estudios, aquí son de más calidad que en mi País. 

- ¿Que estas estudiando? ¿Cual es tu meta?

D: Soy estudiante de Gestión Administrativa, pero mi meta es estudiar Periodismo Deportivo, me encanta el fútbol. 

- Háblame sobre algo que consideres imprescindible en tu vida.

D: Sin lugar a dudas, el amor. Para mi el tipo de amor que más me llena personalmente, es aquel que puedes compartir.

D: I was born in Maringa (Brasil) 19 years old. 

- what are the reasons that have influenced you to decide to come to Malaga?

D: My father arrived in Malaga looking for job security, when my father is established in Malaga after 5 years, I came to Malaga with my mother and my older sister, that happened in 2007. Another reason was the studies, here are of higher quality than in my country.
- What are you studying? What is your goal?

D: I am a student of Administrative Management, but my goal is to study sports journalism, I love football.

D: Undoubtedly, love. For me the kind of love that fills me personally is that you can share.

Nací en Aarhus (Dinamarca) hace 33 años. Es la segunda ciudad más grande de mi País. 

-¿Cual es la razón por la que has venido a Málaga?

Soy comercial de telefonía, y en la actualidad estoy trabajando aquí. Málaga no me gusta, prefiero Granada, me identifico más con esa ciudad.

Esa que te he dicho es la frase, la uso mucho porque hay muchas veces en las que no entiendo el acento andaluz.

I was born in Aarhus (Denmark) 33 years ago. It´s the second largest city of my country.

-What is the reason why you come to Malaga?
I´m commercial telephony, and now I'm working here. I don´t like Malaga, I prefer Granada, I identify more with the city.

That I have told you is the phrase. I use it a lot because there are many times that I do not understand the Andalusian accent.

No es la primera vez que me encuentro con jóvenes de otros países buscando un sentido real a su existencia. Para ello emprenden un camino de aprendizaje, un camino en el que las experiencias les van definiendo como lo que realmente son.

Prefiero no decírtelo.

Soy de Dinamarca y tengo 20 años.

No exactamente.

Es simple, busco la felicidad.

No, he venido directamente a Málaga.

Crear. No existe diferencias entre mi vida a la de los demás, son solo modos de vidas diferentes, vivo el presente y eso es todo. Vivo de mis creaciones y crear me hace feliz.

What do you need to be happy?

Create. There is no difference between my life to others, they are just different styles of life, I live the present and that's it all. I live of my creations, and create makes me happy.

Soy Doctora en Ingeniería Electrónica por la Universidad de Cálgary (Canada). Comencé mis estudios en la Universidad de mi País, allí hice también un Master y después me trasladé hasta Canada para realizar el doctorado. Ahora me dedico a la investigación y también soy profesora en mi especialidad. Por suerte, encontré lo que realmente me gusta, y es principalmente la enseñanza, eso me hace realmente feliz. Podré trabajar desempeñando mis conocimientos, pero nunca dejaría la enseñanza. Al plantearme mis sueños he ido consiguiendo mis metas. Puedo decir que he sido afortunada, mi recorrido en la vida ha sido bastante suave comparado con lo que puedo haber sido. Lo digo porque he visto muchas personas que lo han intentado como yo y se han quedado en el camino. Considero muy importantes las experiencias vividas, son aprendizaje de vida. Supongo que todos tenemos algún miedo, el mío es sentirme obligada a cumplir las expectativas de otra persona, anteponer las de otros a las mías. I'm a Doctor in Electronic Engineering from the University of Calgary (Canada). I began my studies at the University of my country, there also did a Masters and then I moved to Canada for a doctorate. Now I am dedicated to research and I am also a teacher in my specialty. Luckily, I found what I really like, and is primarily teaching, that makes me really happy. I can work for research or for any company relate to my knowledge, but I will never stop teaching. On the approach of my dreams, I have achieved my goals. I can say I've been lucky, my path in life has been quite mild compared to as it could have been. I say this because I have seen many people who have tried like me and have fallen by the wayside. I consider very important the experiences of life, are apprenticeship. I guess we all have  fears, mine is to feel obliged to fulfill the expectations of another person, putting the others obove to mine. Although I have luck, the people around me, always supports me. 'Smile, always smile'.
