Corría el año 1928 y yo nacía en el seno de una familia humilde junto a 13 hermanos más, era la hija más pequeña. Mis padres se casaron cuando mi madre tenía solo 13 años y mi padre 30, así que tuvieron tiempo de tener descendencia, todo el tiempo que yo no tuve. No lo recuerdo bien, pero creo que mis padres se separaron y me vine a vivir a Málaga con mi madre. Tenía solo ocho años cuando empezó la Guerra civil, recuerdo que fueron tiempos muy difíciles, había muchas dificultades y teníamos mucha hambre. Ingresé en el Colegio de la Goleta dirigido por monjas, estaba dedicado a la protección de los menores. Siempre he sido muy alegre y me encantaba cantar y bailar, así que ingresé en la Tuna. Como te he dicho eran tiempo difíciles, y como yo sabía bailar y cantar, así es como me ganaba la vida. Me casé con 40 años, y me marché con mi marido a Alemania para trabajar en una fabrica de coches. Llevaba poco tiempo casada cuando mi marido enfermó y nos tuvimos que venir a Málaga de nuevo. Perdí a mi marido muy pronto, así que no puede tener hijos, estuve junto a el hasta que se marchó. Hoy voy tirando con la pensión que me ha quedado y me cuidan en el Corralón de la Reina.
